This brand new syllabus has been written by Miss Clare Palethorpe who is an expert in Contemporary Dance and has been an AQA Examination Board moderator for the GCSE dance syllabus from 2006 to present.
The course is open to non-members also.
The syllabus is graded from Grades 1 to 5 and then follows on into the Associate teaching qualification – AABD. This syllabus is accredited by the "Board of Dance Qualifications & Training (BDQT).
Times: Usually 10am to 4pm – Bring water a packed lunch and a towel
Fee for the day: £55
CPD Points Awarded: 5 points

Associated Board of Dance is offering a seven day Associate teacher training course, leading to the Associate Teaching Qualification, AABD.
Running over seven Sundays leading up to and preparing you for the ABD Summer School (20th to 24th August 2018), which is a 5-day intensive course whereupon completing the course you can take the Associate qualification in either or a combination of Ballet, Tap and Modern Jazz at the end of the week.
The course will be run in the Midlands.
The Sunday dates are Jan 28th, Feb 25th, March 25th, April 29th, May 27th, June 24th, July 29th.
The times will be 10 am until 3 pm
Fees are £60 per day payable in two instalments of £210.
The first payment due on or before Monday 8th January 2018. Second payment due Monday, April 9th.
Summer School Fees are £300 for the week (not including examination fees) and need to be paid by August 6th.
All classes are taken by co-chief examiners Colin Lang FABD and Joanne Sullivan FABD.

ABD are proud to announce they have been granted the "Theatre Dance Council International" - TDCI Welsh Theatre Dance Championships!
They are in the following categories: Modern, Tap, Ballet, Song & Dance - both Jnr. 10-13 and Snr. 14-17
OPEN TO NON-ABD MEMBERS
They will be held at the ABD Welsh Festival of Dance on Sunday July 15th 2018 at the Pontypool Campus Blaendare Rd, Pontypool, Gwent, NP4 5YE.
The winners go to the "Champion of the Champs" competition - Seniors can win a £500 bursary at the finals.
All competitors must be registered with the TDCI as a competitor.
