Black & White image of a dance studio - long shot - dancers in distance

The Associated Board of Dance are devastated by the horrendous senseless attack on innocent children enjoying the love of dance.

In the blink of an eye, the world has changed and it brings home how vulnerable we and our children are just going about our normal lives... fun, hobbies and activities.

ABD sends our deepest condolences to the families and friends affected by this tragedy and hope those also injured make a swift recovery.

We have prepared a plan of action to assist teachers when dealing with emergency attacks by armed and hostile intruders and desperately hope that you find them useful, but never have to use them. You can download the document with the links below.

This plan also includes a printable template from the Department of Education.

Each studio, dance hall and building is different but it can be used as a guide in helping you establish some sort of plan for the future.

ABD sends its love and unwavering support to the dance community who have already come together to support everyone affected in any way.
